# How to remove Powered by Shopify

## How to remove

In the Shopify Code Editor, open the file:

<mark style="background-color:purple;">`section-supporting-menu.liquid`</mark>

You'll find that easily when using the filter bar at the top:

1. Open the  `section-supporting-menu.liquid` file in the **Sections** folder
2. Search for `Powered by Shopify` in the code area
3. Remove or comment out the line below the comment
4. Save the changes

### How to open the code editor

Click on the ellipses (three dots) icon at the top of the Theme Editor to view theme actions, and choose Edit code:
