# How to remove Shopify credit

### How to remove

1. Open `footer.liquid` in the **Sections** folder
2. Search for `Shopify credit` in the code area
3. Remove or comment out the line below the comment
4. Save the changes

### How to open the code editor

Click on the ellipses (three dots) icon at the top of the Theme Editor to view theme actions, and choose Edit code:
